HARD DAY!!!!

I am having sort of a hard day today. Mamie and Nolan are growing up way tooooo fast. Being a working mother really bits the dust sometimes. I dropped Mamie off at CC Ranch today and as she was getting out she said "oh I forgot something". I said "what did you forget sweetheart", she said "to give you a kiss". I just melted. Then I called Nolan (Kyle took him to daycare) and this is how that confersation went.

Nolan: Hello

Me: Hey, Nolan what ya doing.

Nolan: Getting in the car to go to school.

Me: Well, I just wanted to tell you I loved you and have fun swimming today.

Nolan: I wove (love) you too.

Me: Are you going to swim like a fish?

Nolan: I not a fish, I a big boy.

Me: Oh, O.K. well have fun swimming.

Nolan: I will. Where you momma?

Me: I am on my way to work.

Nolan: Have good day.

Me: I will Nolan, Love you.

Nolan: wove you too. here daddy...

O.K. I don't know why I am having a hard day, I just miss them so much during the day. Then when you get home it is rush, rush, rush. No time to play just, make dinner, eat, bath and sleep. I like to go in and give Mamie and Nolan a peck on the forehead every night, just to make sure they are alright and of course they are just fine. Sleeping like a baby.... Now I understand what my mother was saying when she would say "boy ya'll grew up".

MAMIE'S BIRTHDAY PICTURES.

i know i am late posting this post, but i have been very busy this week doing my junior league project, going to work for a couple of hours after the project ended and then coming home to be a mommy and wife. anyway, the week started on July 17th which was mamie's 6th birthday. mamie loves doughnuts so we got up early and took her to krispy kreme then we took her to her favorite restaurant for dinner. i was off that friday and we got to spend some girl time together. my sisters came into town for the birthday party on saturday. my parents ended up coming up as well and we all had a wonderful time. after the party on saturday we came back to the house and played in the water. then we took my older sister out for dinner for her birthday, while kyle and nolan went to the baseball game to visit with his sister, brother-in-law, nephew and his girlfriend. then sunday we all woke up went out for lunch and then everyone left. the ainsworth clan came back and took naps the entire day. we all woke up and went and played in the water park at the renaissance shopping center. after playing in the water park we came back to the house and cut a watermelon that my dad brought to us. that was a wonderful way to wrap up a wonderful weekend with family and friends. oh, we even gave mamie and nolan showers on the back deck after the watermelon, yes, you can just call us rednecks, but they were nasty after eating watermelon. here are some pictures of the long birthday weekend for mamie.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMIE

MAMIE IS 6 TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mamie and I woke up this morning and headed to KRISPY KREME DOUGHNUTS. She loves doughnuts. I have a picture of her by the Hot Now sign and I will post all about that later. But for right now I wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART, YOU ARE MY WORLD!!

What do deer eat?

Kyle and I have been riding into work together and we take Mamie and her friend Carly to CC Ranch, then drop Nolan off at daycare. This is a conversation we had with Nolan after dropping the girls off.

Daddy: Nolan do you see any deer?

Nolan: No, I don't see any deer, daddy.

Momma: They are usually right there.

Nolan: Whrrrr (where)?

Momma: Right there in the woods.

Nolan: I done see them, momma.

Daddy: They don't come out in the summer.

Nolan: Oh. whrrr they go daddy?

Daddy: They go away and sleep.

Nolan: Oh.............

Momma: What do you think deer eat for breakfast?

Nolan: Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, McDonald momma.

Momma: Really, what do they drink?

Nolan: welllllllllllll, water.

Momma: What do the get at McDonald's Nolan?

Nolan: I twink a hamburger with cheese and that wite stuff. (i guess he was talking about mayo)

Then Nolan started talking about how deer sleep, eat and play with their friends.. It was really funny trying to hold a conversation with a three year old. We passed a couple of garbage trucks and cement trucks on the way to the daycare and he would look at them with big wide eyes. We saw a couple of motorcycles and he would say "just like yours daddy, look, daddy look." My little buddy had grown up so much in the last couple of months we can actually understand what he says now............

A LONG WEEKEND AT THE CAMP.

We had such a wonderful time at the camp last weekend. It was like a mini vacation for us all. Unfortunately it started with a funeral Thursday, then after that Kyle and I headed to Walmart for the long weekend ahead of us. We got to the camp late Thursday afternoon some of Kyle's high school buddies and their children came and had a cook out with us. We had so much fun and said we would do it again since they all live right there in Wiggins and close to the camp. Friday we woke up early and floated Red Creek. Kyle and I used to do this all the time when we were dating and I just love floating down the creek watching the world go by. Mamie and Nolan seem to like it, but I think Mamie would have rather been playing on the sandbar instead of floating in a canoe for about 4 hours. Kyle fished and caught some fish to fry that night. After the float we drove into town to watch the fireworks. Mamie, Nolan and I laid on a blanket and it was neat to watch the fireworks that way. Nolan would say "wow look" at almost everyone and Mamie would say "oh, that was my favorite again and again." Saturday rolled around with another trip to the creek to play before my parents came for the family birthday party for Mamie and Nolan. I was so glad that they got to come and I know they really enjoyed coming just to hang out with us. The Ainsworth clan showed up a little later for the party and a small firework show. NOLAN IS THREE!!

Well, today is my little mans third birthday. I can't believe he is three. I woke him up this morning singing happy birthday and he just smiled. Then he got up and had his birthday cereal bar with candles in it. Then he said "where my pesants", I didn't understand what he was saying so he said it again "where my pesants". This went on for a second or two and then I figured it out. He wanted his presents. I thought that was pretty good that he put birthday and presents together. So I wrapped up a gift and he opened it and thought it was way cool, that was his words. It was a spider man on a motorcycle. There are pictures to come, just didn't have time to upload them and post. Running a little late because of all the birthday stuff going on at my house. Anyway, I will add to the post tonight.
