WHY?

These are some of the things I was thinking about driving into work the other day. This is not a test and you don't win anything if you answer the following:

Why when you are in a hurry you get behind everyone that just decided to drive slow that day?

Why when it rains people think they are suppose to drive very fast and crazy?

Why do people in fancy cars act like you are to get out of their way when they are blowing past you like you are sitting still?

Why does a dog go around and around before he sits down?

Why do people talk in their sleep or sleep walk?

Why when you are just so sleepy you still can't fall asleep?

Why is it you teach your children not to talk to strangers, but strangers talk them standing in a grocery check out line?

Why is it you can get to work on time, but you can't make it to church on time?

Why do you flip and flip through the channels to find something to watch and there is nothing on, but you still keep flipping? Like something new is going to come on!!!!

Why is it you can make a wal-mart run and get home to find out you just ran out of something that you really need and didn't know you needed it?

Why is it you make a grocery list and you don't stick to it?

Why or How is it the longer you are married to your partner you start to look like that person? This does happen. My parents look alike (50 years next year) and so does Kyle's parents (52 years this year).

Why did I think about these things the other day? Heck, I don't know I was just in my own little world.......................

A VISIT FROM AUNT JAN AND KRISTI

We had a very nice visit with Kristi and Aunt Jan (Kyle's sister) this weekend. Kristi came Friday night (from MSU) and Aunt Jan drove up from Wiggins Saturday to visit with Kristi and then go with us to Mamie's upward basketball game. Nolan was not in the picture taking mood. This was about the only picture that was good.

Sunday we woke up and went to Sunday School and Church. It turned out to be such a beautiful day. The sun was out in full force. After rest time we headed to the park for a little sliding and swinging. We then headed to Academy Sports to get Mamie some shin guards for soccer. Nolan of course had to get a football. This means we have a total of three footballs. I am sure we will be getting more footballs as the days, weeks and years come.

O.K. I just want everyone to know that I did not dress Mamie or Nolan after church. Mamie wanted to dress herself and Nolan so I let her do whatever she wanted to do. She has on a summer skort, leggings that don't match, her school t-shirt and a white jacket, oh and let's don't forget her blue and brown shoes with socks. She thought she looked so cute. Nolan has on green sweat pants (that are too small) a blue t-shirt with baseballs/bats/gloves on it and a white jacket, just like "Sissy's". He wanted to wear this shirt to church but of course we didn't let him. So we told him he could put it on when we got back. So right when we walked in the back door he got Mamie to help him put it on. Watch out fashion world Mamie is going to be the next top fashion designer.

I have noticed both of them have grown up so much. Mamie wants to do everything herself and Nolan wants to try and do everything himself because he sees "sissy" doing things by herself.

My little cheerleader and football player

WELL I HAVE FINALLY FOUND OUT HOW TO POST PICTURES. My sweet, wonderful, smart niece is here from that other college(msu) for the night and is helping me with my blog. Thanks KRISTI!!!!! I also have to thank Jennifer as well. She tells me how to do it, but Kristi is sitting here figuring it out with me........

Mamie as you can see is our little cheerleader. She is having so much fun cheering. Tomorrow is her third game and she is the head cheerleader along with Bailey.

This is Nolan at Christmas, he is our little football player. He wants to wear his jersey all the time. I do know that he wears it at least twice a week. Yes, I do wash it!!

So get ready and watch for pictures...

PUMPKIN SPICE - COFFEE MATE

I had to stay home today because Nolan is sick, we had to take him to the doctor yesterday and he has strep. He is doing fine, but we had to keep him home today, he will return to daycare tomorrow. I took Mamie to school this morning and made a run to the store to pick up some stuff before Kyle had to go to work. I needed to get some coffee creamer and I just love the pumpkin spice one. They only put it out around the holidays and after the holidays you can't find it. I think they need to make it year round. This is the only creamer I have found that I just love.................... Well, I came across a bargain it was the smaller bottle, they were marked down to get this, .49 cents a bottle. I was very happy about my find. I bought all they had three small bottles, but they don't expire until March. I guess when I run out of these I will just have find something else to spice up my coffee in the mornings.......

CLEANING THE HOUSE!!!

I hate to be negative, but I have to get something off my chest. I had the week of Christmas off and I wanted to clean the house. You know throw stuff away and just do that deep cleaning. Well, I only had one good day of that and the other couple of days were spent with children (which was nice), but I didn't get any good cleaning done. Well, we had people over for New Years Eve and I cleaned that day as well. Kyle was home to help me, but I did most of the cleaning. I had today off (MLK day) and yes I cleaned my house up once again. I am SO SICK OF CLEANING A HOUSE ON MY DAYS OFF I COULD SHOUT TO THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN, if I knew it would help I would do it. The thing that makes me most upset is I clean, clean, clean and clean some more and you can't even tell I have done anything. Have you ever felt that way? I have a couple of days off in February and guess what???? I AM NOT GOING TO CLEAN MY HOUSE. I say that now, but watch I will have to clean something on my days off. I am going to do what I want to do. Mamie is going to school and after school care, and Nolan will be going to daycare. I might sleep late, stay in my pj's all day or just do whatever I want to do on a day off. I WILL NOT CLEAN THAT DAY!!!!!
Boy, that felt good to get off my chest. I know I will be able to sleep better tonight. Goodnight to everyone and HAPPY CLEANING!!!

MISSING SOMEONE

I don't know how many times I have started this blog titled "Missing Someone", but I never seem to get through it, but this time I am going to try my hardest to do it. I lost my grandmother two years ago. This person was my rock, my friend and more than anything in this world to me. We would talk for hours about anything, school, clothes, friends, boys, clubs that I was apart of in school and anything else that we wanted too. She was a wonderful person inside and out. She taught me how to sew, she taught me to be a young lady, she taught me everything and I miss that more than anything. We were going home for Christmas this past year and I was very still and quite. Kyle ask me what was wrong I said "have you ever missed someone so much that it makes your body hurt." He knew who I was talking about. It is like that every time we start to head home. I start thinking about her, everything she did for me and how I will never see this wonderful person again. She died the week after the big storm hit the coast. She didn't die from the storm, she died of old age. In fact she was 92 or 93 when she passed away. Anyway, I miss this person so much. Not a day goes by that I don't think about her and I know that she is looking down on me smiling and watching over me. I sometimes feel that she is sitting right beside me touching me on the shoulder or on my cheek. I am not crazy I truly believe this. I remember when I was younger I told her that when and if I get married and have a child and that child just happens to be a girl I was going to name her after her. She started laughing and said "oh, please honey don't do that to that child". I asked her why and she just laughed. Well, when Kyle and I started dating and talking about getting married and having children I asked him about the name I have always wanted to name my child. Well he said that was fine. When we found out that we were expecting I couldn't wait to tell her. She was so excited. When we found out we were having a girl, I couldn't wait to call her and let her know that it was a girl and what we were going to name it. At first we were not going to tell anyone, but I had to tell her so Kyle and I agreed that she would be the only one to know our babies name. So when I called her I said "well we are having a girl and her name is going to be "MAMIE", she almost fell out. She said "oh please don't do that to that child". I told her, well we are naming her Mamie and there is nothing you can do about it. I got a wonderful gift this past Christmas, I got a part of grandmother Mamie that I will have forever and ever and maybe just maybe one day my Mamie will get to wear it every day just like I do. Well, I could go on forever and ever about grandmother Mamie, but I need to stop now, my eyes are burning from the tears that are streaming out. So, I guess I could say that I am glad that I miss her so much that my body hurts, this just means I haven't forgot about this very special person that is now looking down on me and my family every day.........................

SEVEN THINGS - I LOVE

I have been tagged by April. It is called seven things about myself, so here it goes.

1) I love getting pedicures. When the warm weather finally gets here, I start thinking when I have time to go and get one. Kyle started giving me gift certificates a long time ago and now since I have two children I usually get two or three. I get them for mother's day, birthday, Valentines Day, and even for Christmas. I am always set through out the Summer and Fall when it comes to pedicures. I don't mind getting a manicure, they just don't last long.

2) I love bananas. I love a fresh green banana, the crunchier the better. I love making smoothies with milk, bananas, blueberries and sweet-an-low. It is wonderful try it if you want a sweet treat.

3) I love CRAWFISH!!!!!!!! I could eat crawfish until I am blue in the face. When I was younger my dad and I would always have to go get shrimp po-boys and about 25lbs of crawfish. Dad and I would sit out on the back porch and see how many crawfish we could eat within 4 or 5 mins. Yes, I ALWAYS WON. I wonder now if dad would just let me win, he said he didn't, but you know that parents will say anything to make you feel better. This happened almost every weekend. I CAN'T WAIT CRAWFISH SEASON IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!!!!

4) I love to sew. Kyle gave me a sewing machine when I was pregnant with Mamie. I started a sewing class and loved it. I put it down for the longest time just because I never got around to setting up the machine and sewing. I wanted to spend all my time with my new baby. Well, not to long ago my friend Jennifer got me back into it. I love sitting down and making cute pants for Nolan and I can't wait to make some cute skirts for Mamie.

5) I love to take pictures. I wish I could come up with a way I could do this on the side. I just don't know how I could do it since I do work a full time job and spend time with family and friends on the weekends. I love to pick up my camera and start clicking away. If anyone could come up with a way for me to do this as a little side business please let me know.

6) I love blogging. I am like April and her email. I check blogs throughout the day and just click on others within the blogs that I am looking at. I don't know a lot of the people on other blogs, but I just love looking and learning about them. I have also learning about some cute websites to go to and find some cute stuff for children.

7) Last but not forgotten. I love my family. I loved meeting Kyle years ago and knowing that I would spend the rest of my life with him (even if it took six years to get married). I loved know that I was expecting our first child and couldn't wait to find out what it was going to be and then finding out just a couple of years later that I was going to have another child. I just love my family they are very special people to me.

I know I did seven things that I love, but if I started doing things that I didn't like we would be here forever and I wouldn't be in a happy mood afterwards. So I feel happy inside and out now that I did the seven things that I love!!

I can't really tag too many friends because a lot of my friends don't blog. So I guess the only one that I can tag is Jennifer Mayo.........
