My Little Man - Nolan

O.K. so I posted a post on my sweet little girl, so I thought I needed a post for my little man. Nolan is truly all BOY. He loves to play baseball and racquetball with his daddy. He also LOVES to watch and play wrestling. He LOVES big monster trucks, motorcyles and everything that is a boy thing, as he likes to say it. As some of you know Kyle has a dirt bike. Well Kyle told me that when Nolan started wanting one of his own then it was time to sell his. Well, Nolan has been asking for a dirt bike just like daddys for his birthday. I looked at Kyle and said "well, it looks like it is time to sell your bike." Kyle looks at me and says, "oh I don't think so". He loves to crawl up in my lap and tell me stories about what he did at school (daycare) and how he was such a good boy. He tells me he loves me NO MATTER WHAT. He is growing up way too fast for me to think about. He will be 4 in July and I just can't wrap my mind around him starting BIG BOY SCHOOL in a year. Where does time go. He is my sweet little man and I love him to death. I don't have brothers so this little man thing is all new to me. I can't dress him like I want to because he thinks he looks like a baby. He likes getting his hair cut like A BIG BOY and I don't like that. Meaning getting it SHAVED OFF. He stays very close to his daddy at all times, but he loves giving me hugs and sugar nose like he has done his entire little life. I guess you could say is his a momma's baby, but he loves his daddy with his whole heart. I am so glad I have a Nolan, Mamie and Kyle to call my own. They are my life, my world and my everything.

My sweet little girl

Mamie has been asking me lots of questions about GOD. She asked me yesterday why we weren't missionaries and why we couldn't go to Mexcio and spread the word of Jesus? I told her that maybe one day when she gets a little older she could go on a mission trip and she could tell all the people about GOD. She laughed and said "well I guess if I were a missionary then you would miss me, so I guess that is why we aren't missionaries". I didn't have the heart to tell her if WE WERE ALL missionaries then WE WOULD ALL be together. She said "that would be so nice." Then she asked "when you and daddy went to Mexico last year did you tell people about GOD?" I told her no and then she wanted to know why we didn't because people need to know that God is GREAT and that he heals the sick and that he is wonderful and he answers your prayers and the list went on an on. She told me that she believes in GOD because without GOD then she wouldn't be here. O.k. so I am driving down the street listening to all she has to say about GOD and JESUS and how he is so good and I wonder to myself HOW LUCKY AM I to have such a sweet, kind hearted little girl. She thinks of others (sometimes) before she thinks of herself. She also wanted to know when she would be able to see grandmother Mamie again. I told her when she went to heaven grandmother Mamie would be waiting on her. She sat there for a second or two and said "well momma, I know that she is an angel and she is watching us right now." I said "that is right". She told me that she is learning so much about GOD from CC Ranch and her Sunday School Class and she couldn't wait to go to VBS at our Church next week. She is the most precious thing to me. I will have to say that she, Nolan and Kyle are the most precious things to me and I am so glad they are in my life and they call me Mom and Wife...

FLIP FLOPS FUNDRAISER:

Fundraiser for Hayden's Hoppers, a team of friends, family, and volunteers that raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation with the expectation that one day, Hayden and thousands of other kids will not have to go through the daily hardships of diabetes.

The best part of this fundraiser is that you can get your summer wardrobe ready while supporting a great cause. Who doesn't need a great pair of flip flops? But you need to hurry, we will have 2 weeks to get our orders in, and then approximately 2 weeks later we will have the shoes. The shoes fit pretty true to size in length, and they are a little wider than average flip flops. They do not guarantee the size/style will be in stock, as they only stock once a year. For that reason, the vendor suggests going ahead and ordering as soon as possible, which is why we are placing a 2 week time limit to order.

To order, email Nikki at nikkisimmons30@yahoo.com or call her at 601-955-9283. The last day to order is Tuesday, March 31. Just email me your name, style shoe you want, and the size. If you have an alternate style you like, email that too, just in case they are out of the one you want. The flip flops are $20 a pair, and the proceeds go to Hayden's Hoppers Team for JDRF. Thanks!

Now for the great styles!

o.k. so i haven't updated in awhile

i just haven't had that much to talk about or share. on top of that i really don't think people read or if what i type even is worth typing. so i will in a nut shell let whomever reads tell you what the ainsworth family has been up to.
1st of all we went to pascagoula, ms for mardi gras. i haven't been back home for a parade in sometime now and we had a blast. a very dear friend came along for the trip and i really think she enjoyed herself. mamie and nolan i am guessing had a good time at the parade. nolan was way to busy making sure NO BODY got any of the little toys that were thrown to him and mamie was just loving life.
waiting on the parade to begin.

nolan eating a moonpie. he sure did like those things.. plus he held on to everything that was thrown to him.
mother and mamie looking over all that they caught.

mamie with all her beads.....

trying to get a family photo..... these are always fun...

dear friends, maryanna, me and myrtle.........

at the end of the day we had some yummy crawfish....

NO MORE PULL UPS!!!

Mamie is out of pull ups at night and I am sooooooooo happy about that. A year ago or so Mamie wanted to try and stop wearing them at night, but she would have an accident in the middle of the night and come get in my bed. Anyway, this past Sunday she came running in my room and said she didn't have anymore pull ups. I said well just go get one of Nolans and I will get you some tomorrow. So she came back in my room with big tears in her eyes and said this things are too small, I don't want to wear them. I said well you don't have any and I am not going to the store at this time of night to get you any. She started crying just a little bit more. Then she looked up at me with her BIG BLUE eyes and said you know what, I want to try and get out of these pull ups once and for all. So she ran off and told Kyle about it. She was so happy about it. My sister and I were talking about this over Christmas because her little girl was and is going through the samething. She said what she would do is make her go to the potty before bedtime and then she would wake her up and walk her into the bathroom around 12 or so and make her sit on the potty (now the child had no idea she was doing this), then she would do it again around 3 or so. Margaret Ellis no longer wears them. So Mamie had in her mind she wanted to do the same thing. So this past week we have been doing just that. Making her go around 11 or so, then again around 2 and it has worked. She has been so happy in the morning that her bed isn't wet and she doesn't have a pull up on. Last night Nolan fell asleep with us and I put him in his bed around 12:30, so I got Mamie up and walked her to the potty. Is is so funny to watch her walk in there, she doesn't even know she is walking. I or we forgot to get her back up around 3, I was so worried she had an accident, so I walked in her room to wake her up and she said very happily I MADE IT ALL NIGHT LONG AND DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO GET UP AND GO TO THE POTTY. I just laughed and asked her if she didn't remember me getting her up and going and she said no. So no more pull ups for my BIG girl. Now it is time for Nolan to get out of the dang things. He has dry ones for about 3 nights in a row, then it is down hill from there. Doctor says he still is a little young. Other times we have tried is because we have said it is time to get out of them, but I am just so proud of Mamie, once she made her mind up she wanted to get out of them she did it.

A DATE WITH DADDY

Last week Kyle told me he wanted to take Mamie to something at Millsaps. I told him I didn't care. So the date was set for Tuesday January 13, 2003. Mamie was all excited about going. I picked her up from after school care and we talked about what she should wear. I asked her about a couple of outfits and each one came with an answer "no", "no" and "no". Then I asked her what she wanted to wear. She said "I don't know, but daddy said it had to be Fancy". I asked "Like Fancy Nancy"? She said "oh, yes that would be great". I thought great now I am going to have to come up with something, wish Kyle would have told me "FANCY". Anyway, we got home she took a shower and I pulled out a cute stripe dress, leggings and her Hot Pink boots". I know it is not FANCY, FANCY, but she wanted to wear it. So off they go. I never really asked Kyle where they were going or what they were going to see. I was just told he wanted to take her somewhere. They got back around 8:45 p.m. and Mamie was sound asleep on Kyle's shoulder. He undressed her and put on her P.J.s and in she walks to the den. I asked her what they went to see and she said "some man playing a guitar". I asked "oh, did you like it"? She said "yes, but I fell asleep". I said "that was o.k. you were sleepy". Anyway, she said "oh momma there were ladies there with um, um, um animal coat on". "WHAT". yes animal coats. I looked at Kyle and he said "Fur coat". I guess she asked him about the coat and he said they were fur coat and she didn't understand that and he told her dead animals. So she was telling me that there were old ladies there in shiny clothes. I looked at Kyle again and asked where did y'all go? He said "to the Ford Center at Millsaps". Some guy was playing "a guitar" and Kyle thought Mamie would enjoy it. I asked Mamie if she would going to tell her teacher that she went on a date with her daddy and she smiled real big and said "No, I want to keep this to myself". I think she enjoyed it because she couldn't stop talking about it what everyone was wear and that she got some orange drink and cookies. So, I am glad I have a husband that wants to take his little girl out on a date. Special times for both.

I love this picture. It was at the fair this past year. We were on the farriswheel coming down and she left like she was falling. I didn't get a picture of them leaving lastnight or I would have posted it. I was trying to get Nolan's attention so they could leave or he would have wanted to go along.
