look what we have been doing

these pictures are not in any type of order. they were taken over the last couple of weeks. i didn't have parade pictures on this camera and they were really, really cute. so i might have to do a parade post all by itself. even if it has to be after Christmas.

grandparent here to watch children sing in program.

being silly for the camera. nolan took this picture. giving some love to sissy baking cookies with mason. before all the flour after all the flourasking the preacher how did the wise men get to baby Jesus. a couple of weeks ago the preacher was teaching sermon and i didn't think mamie was paying attention. he was saying that no where in the bible it says that the wise men came on camels to see baby Jesus. well last sunday mamie and i were sitting in church and before church started she said "momma, do you think that man that stands on the stage is going to tell us how the wise men got to baby Jesus." i just looked at her and said "well, honey i am not sure." anyway, this past sunday was mamie and nolan's choir Christmas program and we were about to leave when Mamie said "i am going to ask the preacher about the wise men." after talking to him, i asked mamie what he said and she said "well i really can't remember." showing off my new high heels that mommy doesn't like, threw a fit to have them...

I want to be a car rider mom

today going to school i asked mamie if she was ready for her spelling test. she said "no", i don't want to go to school and i don't want to take a spelling test, i want to be a car rider mom". i tried to get off the subject because i knew tears would swell up inside. so i started running down everything we were going to do this weekend. i said "well we have have tons to do this weekend and it is going to be so much fun." she asked what? i said "well y'all are going to go to church tonight and play with friends, we go to carley's birthday tomorrow morning, then y'all are going with the young family tomorrow night, then sunday we go to ss and church, then grandparents come in town to watch you and nolan sing sunday night." she said "well that is just fine, but i still want to be a car rider all the time." i told her, well you can't sweet heart, i have to go to work so that i can get money to pay for you and nolan stuff. she said "well tell daddy you don't want to work anymore and i want to be a car rider." i tried very hard to explain that was just not going to happen and then it was time to let her out. i gave you a kiss on the cheek and sent her off. i watched her walk in and she turned around and waved with a BIG smile on her face. boy, that just tugs at my heart. i know i have posted about this before and i will probably continue to do so, because nolan will be starting soon, yea, i know not for another two years, but it will be here before i realize it. when mamie starts saying she wants to be a car rider, nolan speaks up and says, me too momma? this is the best age Mamie 6 and Nolan 3. so why can't they stay this age forever??

SNOW IN RIDGELAND

Well, is snowed today, but I didn't get any pictures. I woke up to find just rain, got Mamie up for school which she didn't like one bit, but we didn't rush we just took our time getting ready and off we went. Kristi was here going home for Christmas break and we laughed this morning because while she had to travel right down 49 to Wiggins, she was headed right for it. Anyway, I finially got to work and by the time I got settled and got some things done, the school called saying they were having early dismissal and I needed to pick Mamie up. Well, my friend Jennifer called and told me we didn't have power in our subdivison and she thought maybe the daycare (where Nolan goes) didn't have it either. Well, not 15 mins later the daycare called telling me that they were closing as well. So, I pick Mamie up, pick up pizza and drinks, pick up Nolan and headed to Jennifer's house, since we still didn't have power we were going to go by there and hang out because they had a fire going and it was warm in their house. Well, by the time I picked up pizza Jennifer called to say power was back on, but we still could come over. We went to Jennifer's house and had pizza, cooked cookies and watched Christmas movie. We stayed over there until about 4:00. When we got back home the children fell asleep. We had so much fun over at the Mayos. Jennifer and I caught up on sewing talk, and just plain jane talk. Pictures are to come because I haven't down or upload any in awhile. So get ready to for some pictures, of Christmas Parade with The Young family, Nolan's chirstmas program and a day with Mason. But again no snow pictures this time.
