I GOT MY BIBLE

Last night was the 1st grade Bible presentation at church. Mamie was so excited, I don't think she really understood what this was all about, but I explained to her that Brother Ronnie was going to give her a Bible. She just said "oh, o.k.". All the 1st graders lined up and marched into the church and Mr. Ben called them out one by one, Brother Ronnie shook their hand and gave them a Bible. Mamie looks so proud holding onto her "Red Bible" (as she likes to call it). She said that she will "Cherish it forever".

LOOK WHAT I LOST!!!

Mamie lost her first tooth late this afternoon. My mother wiggled it to make it very lose last weekend when we were with them, but she couldn't get it out. So I told Mamie to start playing with it and she did all last week. So late this afternoon Kyle told her we couldn't go out to eat until her tooth came out. So I took her in the bathroom got a wash cloth and pulled it out before she even knew what happen. When I was pulling the tooth out she said "oh, please don't do that again". I just laughed and said "I wouldn't have to because here it is". It was so lose it was just hanging there. I wish I could have gotten a picture of her face when I told her it was out, but Kyle wouldn't have any part of it, he didn't even come in there. Sissy is what I would say about that. Her other bottom one is lose as well, but not like the one that came out. I told her to start playing with it and maybe, just maybe in a couple of weeks that one would be ready to come out as well. She is so excited about the tooth fairy coming tonight. She said "it is a good day today, because I lost my first tooth and those MIGHTY REBELS WON. Life is good". We are sitting here watching MSU and LSU play and she keeps yelling GO LSU, GO LSU, GO LSU. Wonder where she gets that from.

CLEANING MY TEETH..

i took mamie to school this morning and went back home to finish getting ready for work. thank goodness we leave very close by the school that i can do that. anyway, when i walked in the back door i heard laughing and questions being asked about how you do this. so i walked in our bedroom (our bathroom is right as you walk in bedroom) and saw the funniest sight. kyle was flossing his teeth and nolan was standing there on his stool with nothing on flossing his teeth as well asking if he was doing it right. i wish i could have gotten a picture, but i don't think kyle would have liked that too much seeing he was standing there in a towel and his son was clothesless (as mamie likes to call it). the funny thing about it though was both kyle and nolan were doing the same thing at the same time. you just had to be there i guess. nolan jumps off the stool and says "look i cleaning my teeth". he was so proud of himself. i said "did you take a bath", " nope i take a shower and i clean. want to smell me?" so i leaned down and smelled his little neck and told him he smelled so good. he said "i know i use daddy's soap."

PRAYER REQUEST!!

Please be in pray for my dear friends in Houston as the storm roared through this morning and still pounding on them. I have tried to call Roxanne and I just get voice mail, which is good and means that they do still have phone service. I did get in touch with another friend that lives in Pascagoula and she said that she talked to Roxanne this morning around 7:00 a.m. and that they were o.k. They haven't been able to get out and see what happen to their house, but they are fine. My friend in Goula said that water was coming up on the beach, but other than that they are moving right along. Talked to my mother and she said they are just getting pounded by wind. My only wish is I could hear Roxanne's voice just to make sure she is fine. Roxanne and I have been friends since 7th grade. Myrtle and I have been friends since we were 6 and we all still keep in touch. So please been thinking about my friends and everyone else as they woke up to find homes flooded and much, much more damage by the storm.
