BROKE EAR
Last Sunday night Nolan came in the den and told us that his ear was broke. We just kind of blew it off because he was not acting any different than he normally does. Kyle finally got him to sleep around 10:30 or so, but around 12:00 or so he came in our room just crying saying his ear broke. Well, we found some ear drops and put one or two drops in his ear. He ended up falling asleep after singing (i can't sing) his favorite song "A B C D" sleeping off and on during the night. He would get up crying and saying "Mommy my ear broke, fix it." I felt so bad because I didn't know how to fix a broken ear. I talked to him and read him a book and then he would fall asleep again, just to wake up in about another 30 mins saying "that his ear was broke fix it." I would ask him what he wanted me to sing (remember I can't sing) and he would say "A B C song please" and read the same book over and over again. Once again, he would fall asleep. Well, Monday morning rolled around and he told Mamie that he was going to Dr. Pan (doctor's name is really Payne) so that he could fix his broke ear. I called the doctor's office and got an appointment at 9:00 with Dr. Delaney. Nolan couldn't understand why we were not going to see Dr. Pan for his broke ear. I tried very hard to explain to him that Dr. Payne couldn't see us today and that Dr. Delaney would fix his broke ear. Well, I am sorry, how can you explain to a 2 1/2 year old that he wasn't going to see his doctor. He just kept on and on about why we couldn't see Dr. Pan. We got to the doctor's office and they call him back, he went straight for the scales and stood on it until the nurse told him to get off. I can't believe it he is 34 lbs. The way he has been eating I was thinking it should be more. Well, Dr. Delaney came in and she asked him what was wrong and he said "I have broke ear." Dr. Delaney just smiled. She ask him if she could look in his ear and he said "no Dr. Pan can." She just laughed. Anyway, sure enough he has an ear infection. She gave us some meds and off we went. When we were going to the car he said "where Dr. Pan?" This went on for about 30 mins. It was kind of funny, I know this is just one of things that you just had to be there, but I had to share the story about Nolan's broke ear. I just felt so helpless Sunday night that I couldn't fix his broke ear, I did all that I could, I held him, read to him and sang "A B C D." You know looking back on Sunday night I wouldn't change one thing. I didn't get much sleep, well we both didn't get much sleep, but that is o.k.

CHEER COMES TO AN END - SOCCER BEGINS
Well, upward cheering has come to an end for this season. Mamie had so much fun cheering at the games and also attending the cheer practices. At the end of the season the church has an awards ceremony. All the cheer leaders did a little dance and just had a wonderful time. There was a program at 4:00 p.m. and again at 7:00 p.m. all the cheer leaders had to do the dance at both awards ceremony. At the second ceremony the younger girls were having so much fun, I really hated to see the season and night come to an end. Mamie says she will cheer next year because she had so much fun this year. Soccer has now started and Mamie played her first game last Saturday morning. It was a little windy, but that didn't stop her from running her little heart out. I think she is going to enjoy soccer. Let me explain the last picture of Nolan. He was playing with his football before the game and it landed in the soccer net. Well, he went after it and he got all caught up in the net. When he thought he could get out of the net, he would fall right back down and try to get back up again, just to get caught up in the net once more. He had fun though running around playing and watching "sissy" play ball.

Dressing yourself and a little coloring
I posted not long ago that Mamie is just now starting to want to dress herself. Well, Monday morning I laid out her clothes and she was o.k. with what I chose for her. Then came Tuesday, once again I laid out her clothes for her and she went through the roof. It was a very cute pair of pants (that I made) and a cute t-shirt. No big deal right, well to get her to stop crying I told her she could wear whatever she wanted to on Wednesday. So yesterday morning when she woke up she said, "remember you told me I could pick out what I wanted to wear". I said "yes I remember, just pick something warm it is cold outside". Well, here comes Ms. Mamie all proud of what she had found to put on. She worn tourquoise legging, a white summer dress at first with a yellow long sleeve t-shirt, but we found the white one right before we were leaving for school and her brown and blue shoes. I told her she had to wear a coat and she came out in her brown pull over. But boy was she so proud she did everything herself. So here is a picture of my little fashion designer. You got to love it.....
I guess it was back in October I was reading the Parent/Kids magazine and they were having a coloring contest. Mamie loves to color, so I ran off a copy of the turkey you were to color. So she sat down right when I gave it to her and colored it and I sent it in. Well, November came and went, December came and went, I didn't hear from the magazine. To be totally honest, I had forgotten all about it until yesterday. There was a letter addressed to Ms. Mamie Ainsworth it was from Parent/Kids magazine saying that she had won, best coloring for her age and best creative for her coloring. She received a $15.00 gift certificate to Sal & Mookies Pizza and Ice Cream place. I am so proud of my little girl. I am finding out every day that she is growing up so fast. Check out her turkey and yes she colored all by herself, I did not help her at all........ So watch out fashion and art world here comes Mamie...................

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO EVERYONE..
Let me start off by saying I have never been a very big fan of Valentine's day. I don't have a very good reason, I just don't think it is a big deal. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed your day and your evening. Valentine's day started off well in the Ainsworth house. I woke Mamie up telling her that the Valentine fairy came and boy she woke right up and ran into my room. We went to see "Annie" last week and I bought her the dvd. She had to watch it right then, not later but right now. I also got her this cute babydoll dress that she can wear in the spring with some pink leggings. You all maybe wondering why I didn't say I woke Nolan up for the Valentine fairy. Well, he has been in Wiggins since Sunday. I think the first night without us threw him for a loop, but from what I hear from our daily updates, he has been having the time of his life. The Ainsworths bring him back up tomorrow. I talked with him today and he sounds so grown up. Since I haven't seen him in a week I am sure that he will look all grown up as well. I can't wait until I hug that little thing. O.K. getting back to my day, Kyle came to get me for lunch. It is always the same question, well where do you want to go today? We go to lunch a lot together, I view this is our date day. This is about the only way we really talk. So I told him I really don't care. He said a couple of places and I just said I really don't care, let's just go somewhere. We drove to Que Sera. No parking places. We then drove to Old Capitol Inn, NO PARKING PLACES. By that time we had wasted about 30 to 40 mins looking for a place to eat. We needed up at The Marriott downtown for a hot lunch. I got the soup and salad and Kyle ate the hot veggies. I will say this, it turned out to be a very nice lunch date. He drove me back to work and then it was off to get Ms. Mamie. We went to Kroger and it was packed, picked a couple of things up and headed home. I was going to cook something, but I didn't feel like cooking, so Kyle stopped and got Popeye's FRIED CHICKEN... We cleaned house, gave Mamie a bath and washed some clothes, boy how romantic can you get. I am very thankful though for meeting Kyle. I say this all the time, but if he would have never walked into my life when he did, I don't know where I would be right now. He is such wonderful person, wonderful father and most of all a wonderful husband. There is not a day that goes by that I don't tell him I love him and that I am thankful for him walking into my life....... So why is there ONE day out of the year that people show that special someone that you love them? Why not do it all the time?

Cheering, Soccer, Camping and Squirrel Hunting, oh my..
As you can tell by the title this weekend was full. Saturday Mamie had upward cheering and soccer practice back to back. Then we drove down to Wiggins to drop Nolan off for the week. Yes, I said for the week. I didn't get soccer pics, because I didn't go, I had to come home to pack everyone. Oh, yea we also had spend the night guest on Friday night...... Kyle's family has an old deer camp we all have help fix it up so we now have a place to go on the weekends just to get away from it all. Kyle's family came out and ate with us Saturday night by the fire and we roasted marshmellows afterwards. Kyle and Mamie went squirrel hunting late Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Nolan wanted to go so bad, so I walked with him through the woods with his "gun" to hunt something. We didn't see anything, which was fine with me, but we had fun just looking at tracks in the dirt and picking up sticks. Oh, Kyle also had to bring his dirt bike just because. No pics of that either.. Sorry. I will have to take some pictures of Kyle on his dirt bike just so you can see that he really has one. I am hoping everyone had a wonderful weekend like we did. You can't ask for anything better than sun shine and family. Enjoy the pictures from our weekend..... Poor Nolan, these girls really made him up.
What happy little cheerleaders.
Marshmellows anyone?
Off to the woods we go.
I think I hear something!!
