HERE IS HOW MY BIRTHDAY WENT

i went in to get mamie up for school and she was kind of awake. she had her arm over her face and i said "oh my where is mamie". she just smiled and said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMA, I LOVE YOU". then nolan walks in and says "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME, HAPPY BIRTHDAY". i just laughed and mamie corrected him right off. nolan didn't like that too much. anyway, i ran around getting mamie ready for school and me ready for work. phone rang it was mom and dad wishing me a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY. i asked mom what time i was born and she said "around 3:30". i laughed and said "well i guess i don't really turn "40" until then right". she said "i don't think that is how it works". mamie and i love singing along to music on the way to school so i said "you know since it is my birthday i want to hear something fun". mamie yelled out "HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL PLEASE". o.k. i know it is a little scary that i know some of the words. we had fun singing to the top of our lungs. i dropped her off and then headed to work. i was at a stop light about the third car back, all of a sudden i hear "BANG". well you guessed it, a lady ran into the back of me. i am so glad i didn't see it coming or i would have braced myself and it would have really hurt. so i got out, check my car and everything was fine. she was crying the entire time, saying that she had just gotten in a fight with her husband so on and so forth. i told her i understood, because my husband and i fought this past weekend as well and on top of that it was my birthday today. she started crying more. she gave me her information and off i went. oh, my car is fine and so am i, just a little stiff in my neck and my lower back it kind of tight. i got to work with warm wishes from the guards and phone calls from friends. kyle and i did get to go to lunch today and my judge and law clerks threw me a "80's" birthday party. my judge teased her hair very high, put shoulder pads in her shirt and some how found some blue eye shadow. boy those were the days. one of the law clerks made a cd for the occasion full of the "80's" we had cheese cake and lots of laughs. i picked up nolan, mamie, mason and jennifer so that we could go to the "FIRE SAFETY" thing at the library. (pics of that to come). for dinner kyle grilled salmon. we had a salad and yellow rice to go along with it. very good, i might add. he even bought a birthday cake for me, which nolan licked the icing off the cake. he told me to go look in the back of his truck for my present. i got a sewing table. i having been wanting one for about year now. thanks to jennifer i got the one i wanted. kyle also gave me a new (used) camera. i can't wait to learn how to use it. boy he is too good to me. after cake and ice cream we are all settling down for the night. so thanks to all of you for emailing me, calling me and commenting on the last post with well wishes for a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY". WHICH BY THE WAY WAS A HAPPY ONE..................

i can't believe kyle got us all looking and smiling.
the cake was about to fall off the black thing and we just started laughing. nolan is the only one looking at the camera which is very unusual, because he is the one that usually is looking away.
